Guinness toucans
During my third year of college, I had the opportunity to work with Shadow Creations, a set design and prop-making company based in Rathcoole.
While there, I worked on a project for Guinness, where I was tasked with filling and sanding large fiberglass toucans and a zookeeper. Once the preparation was complete, I was entrusted with painting them, using both a spray gun for broad coverage and hand-painting for fine details.
Polystyrene rocks
I assisted with making large scale polystyrene rocks for a museum exhibition. We used a hot wire to carve out the shape from a block of polystyrene, then smoothed down the surface with wire brushes and I carved out starfish to accompany the rocks.
